On 21 May, 2009 Mr. Panganayi Sithole, Executive Director of 2010 Trust paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Koichi MORITA. 2010 Trust was established in January 2007 as a trust organization with vested interest in assisting communities harness the benefits associated with South Africa hosting the World’s biggest sport event that is the 2010 World Cup.
The purpose of the call on Ambassador MORITA was to express 2010 Trust’s gratitude to the Embassy following a presentation on Japan by Mr. Amos Masango during the Meet the Ambassador Series. Mr. Sithole presented to Ambassador MORITA a hamper of special food products manufactured in Zimbabwe. Furthermore, Mr. Sithole expressed optimism that a lot of Japanese tourist will visit to Zimbabwe during the 2010 World Cup.
Meet The Ambassadors Series is a local initiative of the 2010 Trust to bring Ambassadors or their representatives of countries of the teams that are likely to qualify for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa closer to the Zimbabwean community and in particular business people.
The presentation on Japan by dubbed “Introduction to Japan” was an eye opener to the many facets of Japan and the Japanese people. The Power Point presentation centered on the characteristic about Japan.
