Conferment of the Ambassador’s Award upon Ms. Mary Marques

On August 26, Ambassador Yamanaka conferred the Ambassador’s Award upon Ms. Mary Marques for her contributions to mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Zimbabwe. Over forty years, she has dedicated herself to promoting and developing ikebana both within and outside Zimbabwe, making significant contributions to enhancing understanding of Japanese culture and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. Her family and friends gathered at the ceremony to celebrate the award.
