Conferment of the Ambassador’s Award upon Mr. Smart Deke, President, Judo Association of Zimbabwe

On October 25, Ambassador Yamanaka conferred the Ambassador’s Award upon Mr. Smart Deke, President of the Judo Association of Zimbabwe (JAZ). Since assuming the presidency of JAZ in 2017, Mr. Deke has dedicated himself to promoting and developing Judo in Zimbabwe, making significant contributions to enhancing understanding of Japanese culture and strengthening friendly relations between the two countries. The award ceremony took place during the Japanese Ambassador Judo Tournament held on the same day, with approximately 200 JAZ members celebrating the honor.
