On 12 February, Ambassador Maekawa received a courtesy call from 4 students from Harare Institute of Technology. These students are four of the 21 outstanding participants selected from among 7,724 students worldwide who took part in the Global Consumer Intelligence (GCI) AI Program offered by Prof. Matsuo’s Laboratory at the University of Tokyo, a leading AI research institute in Japan. The four will join a study trip to Japan in March 2026 together with top performers from other countries. Congratulations, and we look forward to their future contributions AI and DX.
