Ambassador Maekawa and Dr Shava
On 1 April, Ambassador Maekawa paid a courtesy call on Hon. Amb. Dr Shava, Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology. Minister Shava visited Japan on the occasion of the Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD) Ministerial Meeting in 2024 and the Osaka-Kansai Expo in 2025, and has a good understanding of Japan. Japan will continue to cooperate in human resource development in Zimbabwe through the dispatch of Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers, the Japanese Government Scholarship Program, and cooperation between higher education institutions in both countries.
