Ambassador MAEKAWA's Courtesy Call on Dr. Polite KAMBAMURA, Minister of Mines and Mining Development

On 27 March, Ambassador Maekawa paid a courtesy call on Dr. Polite Kambamura, Minister of Mines and Mining Development. The ministry signed MoC with JOGMEC to further strengthen partnership in the mineral resource sector at Zimbabwe Business Forum held in Osaka last year. In addition, Japanese government has provided 10 Zimbabwean trainees with opportunities to study mining engineering in Japan through the scholarship program since 2016. Both exchanged views on development of Zimbabwe’s mining sector through such Japan’s technical corporation assistance, and stable bilateral trading relationship in this sector.
