Discussion with representatives from OTAKUKON

On 7 April, Ambassador Maekawa met with representatives from Otakukon, including Mr Archibald Moyo, Mr Bill Masuku and Mr Donald Chasi, to discuss ways of promoting cultural exchange and cooperation between Japan and Zimbabwe through content businesses, including manga and anime. To date, the Embassy has set up a Japan Booth at Otakukon on three occasions to provide information on Japanese culture, scholarship opportunities, and Japan's activities in Zimbabwe. The Embassy will be participating in the next Otakukon on 23 August at Moto Republik.
