Ambassador MAEKAWA's Courtesy Call on Hon. Mrs. Barbara Rwodzi, Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry

On 5 August, Ambassador Maekawa paid a courtesy call on Hon. Mrs. Barbara Rwodzi, Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry. At the Zimbabwe Business Seminar held in conjunction with last year’s Osaka-Kansai Expo, the Ministry of Tourism concluded a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Japan’s Tourism Agency on tourism marketing and promotion and the promotion of cultural tourism. During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on cooperation for sustainable, community-based tourism development in Zimbabwe and on promoting tourism business between the two countries.
