Ambasador Maekawa hosted a send-off luncheon for MEXT teacher training students

On 10 September, Ambassador Maekawa hosted a send-off luncheon for six Japanese Government Scholarship (MEXT) teacher training students selected from public school teachers in Zimbabwe. After studying pedagogy at a respective Japanese universities for a year and a half, the students are expected to return to Zimbabwean schools, apply their research findings, and help develop human resources that  will contribute to Zimbabwe’s development and strengthen bilateral relations. We wish them success in their studies in Japan. Applications for the next MEXT teacher training students will open in January 2027.
